Science Enrichment at Home and After School
Tumblehome Talks is the blog for Tumblehome Learning. This is the place where we talk about exciting things in the world of in Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM), and where we can share new discoveries, new ideas and new ways of learning at home and after school.
Tumblehome Learning helps kids imagine themselves as young scientists or engineers and encourages them to experience science through adventure and self-guided discovery. We do this with exciting mystery and adventure tales as well as fun experiments carefully designed to engage students from ages 6 and up. Each book series we publish comes with a set of physical and ultimately online activities that allow readers to reproduce and extend the science they read about.
Tumblehome Learning (THL) was formed in 2011 by a group of dedicated STEM activists, writers, and software and curriculum developers. THL has launched initial books in three series and a number of coordinated activity kits. More information can be found on our products page. We provide tools for students to become inspired to learn more about the natural and man-made worlds around them. In the spirit of Robert Noyce, the inventor of the integrated circuit, original founder of Intel, and one of the fathers of Silicon Valley, we want every child to know that they too can change the world through their exploration of science. They too can “go off and do something wonderful.”
